My name is Laura and I am a 23 year old university student at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh studying sociology. I am in the early stages of my dissertation project regarding the experiences of Polish people in Edinburgh and have found this website, this community of people, and wondered if anybody could help me.
I am very interested in the experiences of Polish mothers in Edinburgh particularly regarding how easy it is for you to access information regarding childcare, pregnancy and parental support. I am interested in learning what it is like to be a Polish mother in Edinburgh with regards to making friends and the social support networks you have in the area.
As I am in the very early stages of my dissertation, at the moment I am really just trying to find out some information about Polish mothers in general, which I will use to help me decide what I want to investigate exactly. Potentially, I may ask if anybody would be willing to meet with me so that I could interview them as part of my research.

You are probably right, what you said was probbaly lost in translation and google translator is not the best way to go about things as it translated your comment as something far more nagative than what you actually meant. Maybe I should find another way of finding people to talk to.
I think I need to find a way of translating what I have written initially into Polish to find people to talk to....but the internet translators are so bad. I think I'm going to have to get a proper translator to copy it for me.
